The album announcement comes as Rosé completes a transformative year following BLACKPINK's Born Pink World Tour. The singer disclosed that the project began taking shape during a studio session in Los Angeles, leading to a year-long journey of creative exploration with various songwriters and producers.
"I have poured my blood and tears into this album," Rosé shared in her announcement post, explaining that the album's title "Rosie" holds special significance as the intimate nickname used by her closest friends and family.
The 12-track album showcases Rosé's evolution as an artist, featuring the lead single "APT." with Bruno Mars. The collaboration, released on October 18, 2024, marks a significant milestone in her solo career. The track, inspired by a Korean drinking game, was produced by an all-star team including Mars, Cirkut, Omer Fedi, and Rogét Chahayed.
